Being a proud member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and the American Academy of Micropigmentation, Jeanee Lusby is also an active participant in the SAAVE Program (Survivor Academy Action Volunteer Effort). The SAAVE Program is for cancer survivors. If you’ve lost your eyelashes or eyebrows from chemotherapy, then the SAAVE program is for you. If you’ve had breast cancer and need restoration of your nipple and areola, then the SAAVE Program is for you.
Most Academy members volunteer their expertise to help give you back your dignity. All they ask for is a smile when your treatments are completed. Jeanee is very honored to be a part of this wonderful program and with a sincere heart donates her services.

NaturaLook and Lusby Vision Institute will be at the Beauty and Wellness Expo on May 31st and June 1st between 10am and 6pm. This event is located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in the Bing Crosby Hall.

The mission of The Beauty and Wellness Expo is to inform, entertain, and educate people and guide them to a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. It is also a premier source for hands-on information demonstrating all of the latest and greatest products, services and innovations for creating and maintaining a healthier and more beautiful you.

Attempting to create a beautiful, lasting “smudged” look with permanent makeup is one of my most challenging procedures. To make matters even more intense, my clients’ expectations seem to be the highest with this particular procedure.

Over the years, I have perfected a “color washing” technique that is specifically unique to my practice here at NaturaLook in La Jolla, CA. This difficult, yet delicate technique of layered, multi-colors implanted on the eyelid has quickly become the most sought after procedure in my San Diego practice.

Unlike, traditional permanent eyeliner where pigment is tattooed in the lash line, color wash liner is achieved by implanted 3-4 layers of graduated custom shades in a “washed” fashion up the eyelid. Oftentimes this process will require more than one visit to achieve that smoky, smudged look that so many women design with conventional makeup.

Permanent cosmetic makeup (micropigmentation) has come a long way over the past 10 years from pigments, machines and designs.  It truly is a unique art that takes years of dedication and practice.

Thank you all for stopping by the NaturaLook booth at the Women’s Head to Toe Expo last weekend at the Del Mar Fairgounds. We had the pleasure of meeting many ladies interested in Permanent Cosmetic Makeup. It was so nice to talk face to face with everyone and actually have time to educate everyone about permanent cosmetics and about our many years of experience in this industry here in San Diego.

Jeanee Lusby, our permanent makeup artist, spent time on Saturday performing complimentary brow shaping. Thank you to all who participated. We had a great turnout. Hopefully Jeanee was able to give you some good tips on eyebrow shaping, color and the benefits of having permanent makeup.
